These questions may be obvious, but sometimes that helps...

Do you have the latest version of Java?

Are you on a PC or Mac? I have read some issues with Mac getting Novacom

Then you should be able to have this done. Did you check to see if your palm driver is enable?

Question: How do you know you need a novacomd driver? What exactly are you trying to do? I should have ask these questions in my first reply.

I'm mainly trying to install the webosquick install. It says I have to use Java to open it but it's not working. What do you think I should do? Seriously walk me through it lol I've tried all that I could and I'm brain dead now lol

windows 7: if device not recognized, in device manager still no properly detected even after the driver is installed through SDK or WebOSQuickInstall,
    1. select the unknown "novacom" hardware in device manager,
    2. right click,
    3. update driver software,
    4. browse my computer for driver...,
    5. let me a pick from a list of device...,
    6. through the list select palm novacom.

    Hopefully this will be helpful
