No theme on the phone. I had loaded animated backgrounds, but ran EPR and removed them all.

Which patch did you use for animated backgrounds?
I don't understand the purpose of the line, I don't need to drink to have fun. Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

Let's all give thanks to the app that started it all.

The one in Preware. Animated backgrounds 1.4.1-39.

Can you run webOS Repair Utility to fix it?

Not sure that is the issue though. I'm helping my brother, and he said it didn't happen right away. He went to use his phone this morning and it was like this.

Hmm. I don't have 1-39 on mine. I used the Scrims patch and notices that it f'd up the look of the msg balloons, so that might be a similar problem. Regardless, I would use webOS Repair Utility and webOS doctor if that doesn't work. I am assuming that you did the usual battery pull, reset, etc...

There's a send file option, send the following to the phone (I believe this is the file that controls the phone scene, someone correct me if I'm wrong):

    /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.phone/resources/es_us/views/dialpad/dialpad-scene.html

This is assuming your phone is using english as the language.

Might be other files in /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.phone/stylesheets/ that you need to restore?
