I restart my phone and came to the realization that all my text messages are now gone and my contacts have being wiped out. My Palm Profile show "0" contacts too. Im so pee'd off right now. i deleted the custom kernel i had installed and im pretty much going to stay away from them all.
If you want to buy a Palm Pre is great condition. Here's your chance.

The phone hates me lol. I pretty much did a battery pull so i can swap batteries because the other one was dying (you know when the pre's battery completely dies, it takes forever to charge it back up). I restart my phone and everything was gone.

That IS very strange. I'll assume you're not syncing your contacts with Google since you lost them?

Uh oh, one more post and I hit 4,000!!!! I'll have to save my next post for a special occasion!!

Just leave your profile signed in. The profile has nothing to do with texts it does not back them up. I have always used google as primary for contacts. I have seen cases where palm profiles get temporary outages wait till tomorrow and resync see if it appears back.

My roommate keeps creating problems with his Pre Plus, because he is completely impatient. He never waits for it to actually eject the USB, he just clicks eject and then rips out the cord, so it hasn't even had a chance to do so, yet.

Logs him out of his profile and screws things up, ever single time.

Lol I do the same thing hasn't wiped itself yet phew. I always looked as ejecting like formality. I click it if it takes more than 5 seconds its getting pulled. Note to palm replace external USB drive looking image with a functional eject button with a force eject option.

And you wonder why you lost data. Contrary to what you may read, pulling or hot-swapping the battery while the device is on always has a high risk of data loss.
