I had the issue with my phone where it was stuck on "phone offline" it was very frustrating i had to get it replaced. before doing that i turned on wifi and did that auto backup feature. it's supposed to do it everyday but last time i checked it said it ran on 6/1...
i get a refurn phone and put in my fb and google info and palm profile info and it started to sync up..too bad about 80% of the phone numbers are gone..
how can i get them back? can i log in to the darn site and get them somehow?

this could be it from me and palm..ive had it since 2003 with all this nonsense.

any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Made this just for fun...I'm Kermit

Hm, if you don't have the old phone, there's not much you can do.

I've had the phone offline experience a few times, it's annoying, but after pulling the battery for 10 mins it goes away.

    Were you running any patches?

Palm support should be able to fix it for you as long as backups worked from your old phone. If you have your old phone it should be easier to do. But this has to be repeated:

DO NOT TRUST PALM PROFILE BACKUP AND SWITCH YOUR PHONE TO SYNC WITH GOOGLE CONTACTS.

This will save you many hours in the future. There have been many reported issues with palm profile backup so just switch to sync with google and you will not have this problem again

Like Kalex said, while it won't help you now, setting your default profile to gmail will sync any you enter into gmail contacts so you won't have to worry about losing anyone again.

Contact palm technical support. An older backup snapshot can be pushed to your device which should have all your data in it.

I trust google less than I do palm. I'm not a fan of putting contacts in the palm profile, but I would do that before I gave them to google...

Sure go right ahead come back to this thread when you can't restore them from palm profile or when you are switching from WebOS phone to something else and you want your contacts to follow you

I use pocket mirror to outlook. No danger here. You skipped the part where I said I don't like the profile option either.

I agree that using Google, for your contacts, is the ideal solution. That is the entire idea of a cloud device. I sync my contacts with both Gmail and Hotmail. That way if something goes south with one of them, I have a backup.

But if you read the post, the problem is that it stopped backing up her stuff. Therefore, anything that she put into her phone after 6/01 was not backed up.
    Going further back wont help.

We don't know that...it could be a visual glitch..maybe it did back up and just isn't updating on the device side. No one will know unless the OP contacts Palm.

I am new to the Palm Pre and got a Gmail account just for the Pre. I have now set my default to my gmail account. Please tell me how to look/retrieve my data.
    Thanks
