    I have a question, and it may just be that I don't have something setup correctly, or it may be that is how it works.

    I have my Palm Profile and my Facebook Profile on my phone, so my conacts are synced from both. Now if I link a contact that is in my Palm profile (which contains the contacts phone number) with the contact in the Facebook profile and set the Facebook Profile as the primary. If I hard rest my phone or install an update, the contact on my Palm profile is now gone.

    Is this just how it works, or is it a way for the Palm profile to stay as a contact after the hard reset. The only reason that i am asking is because I am about to update to 1.4.5 and I am now unlinking all the profiles, doing a backup to make sure it is saved. Then will do the update. Just looking to save some time.

    Hopefully I got across what I am trying to say and accomplished.

    What you are describing shouldn't happen. Linking a profile just groups them together all data should stay in tact through a hard reset except the linking itself.

    You shouldn't lose any Palm profile data when doing a hard reset and you shouldn't have to unlink everything before doing said hard reset.

    Does it matter which profile you have set as your primary profile. I have my facebook set as my primary.

    It shouldn't (at least I have not heard of anything). Now that's not to say that what you may be experiencing is a bug. I haven't done extensive testing to confirm this.
