I'm in Canada on Bell.

I want to sell my phone - the potential buyer is with Rogers (a rival network)

Can the Palm Pre be unlocked ??? yes or no and how ?

you cannot "unlock" a CDMA phone, however as long as the MSL is clear you should be able to sell it just fine.

User B-E-A-S-T once wrote a thread with instructions for Rogers.
I provided the edited carrier database file.
It's doable but not easy for a novice.

Rogers is GSM/HSPA only. Bell has both GSM/HSPA and CDMA but in the case of the Pre on Bell it is CDMA. Completely incompatible. This will not work.

There may be a service that will activate you on another carrier if the phone has a clean ESN...

Is it a Sprint Branded Pre (AKA Pre minus) or a Verizon Branded Pre + ???
