    45c?
    Isn't that like 150F?

That sounds pretty hot to me.

Actually it is only 113f (thanks to UberCalc from the app catalog).

I am assuming you are charging on a TouchStone? But even if you aren't, make sure you open the slider when charging. It will help dissapate heat that can build up. Also if you can charge your Pre where there is some airflow it will make a huge difference. I use a small personal fan on my desk at work and have a TS mounted on an A/C vent mount in my car.
Clicking the Thanks button is a great way to say... well THANKS

You are welcome... opening the slider will help either way.

Pulled my Pre off the car charger in my truck a couple weeks ago and govnah raed @ 61deg!!! I was in a really crappy signal area so maybe that had something to do with it. It's been fine so far afterwards.

Yes, poor signal areas will cause a much greater drain on your battery which in turn generates more heat.

Is your truck air conditioned? Is the charger in direct sunlight?

Warm vehicle (or ambient air anywhere) temps, plus direct sunlight make for a bad start in the first place. Since the Pre doesn't have any cooling mechanism, the coolest you can possibly be is the ambient temperature for the space you are in.

    Try using this mount:

Attaches right in front of a vent, A/C keeps it cool!
