Somehow, I've been adding contacts under Account (Google instead of Outlook).

    A) How do I change that contact to a different account?

    B) Is there a way to look up who (not just the number of contacts per account) is in each account?

    Frustrating.

    Thanks

    Huh?

Are you talking on the device? You can change the default safe location in the contact settings. Press menu from contacts and select preferences and accounts.

Also tapping on each account will tell you how many records are under each account. If you want to see actual records you have to go into each individual record and see where it is saved.

Sorry for not being more clear.

    I have contact - Jordan.

Jordan was entered on my Palm Pre associating him with my Google account accidentally.

Now, I would like to change the account association from Google to Outlook (my default account).

Second part - When I click on one of my accounts, let's say my Google account, it tells me I have 44 contact in that account.

How, do I filter and just see the 44 contacts for that account so I can change the account associated with it (assuming the first part of my question is answerable).

    Hope that's a tad clearer.

    Thanks

Go into that contact in the top left hand corner of that contact you can change the safe location. For google it will show a "G".

There is no way to filter by account location (Mostly because of synergy). The only way you can find this out is to go into each individual contact and do the same as mentioned above.

When I go to that contact, the top left corner does indeed have the "G" but touching it does nothing (i'm not in Edit mode for that contact).

If you meant to say, Edit that contact and touch "G" in the upper right of the contact, that does show me which account, but touching that does nothing either. This is where I would have thought I could change the account for this contact.

    Strange.

Okay you aren't just going to be able to switch what it's synced with (that is based off your default setting with the contact was entered).

What you can do is enter it into outlook (either by phone or PC) and sync. It should automagically match the two up. You can then just keep the google contact as well, or delete the google contact and keep the outlook one.

It is annoying for some, but once you master it, this is one of the best contact apps every (yes it could use more features, but as it, for my use I am happy with it).

Wow I was wanting to say one thing and typing another thing. The upper right hand corner will tell you where it is saved. You have to manually add it to somewhere else if you want it somewhere else as OldSkoolVWLover mentioned.

    Thanks for the replies Guys!

I HATE the answer though. I agree, I love this contact program but with all the options it has, I'm shocked (again) Palm left this feature out.

Also, the one question you didn't have good answer for is how do you search (filter) for just who is in each group.

I have thousands of contacts so the hunt and peck solution is out of the question.

I did as you suggested and added Jordan to Outlook (on my PC) the went to the Pre and hit Sync Now then did a Sync with SyncManager but it didn't "blend" the two records.

Grab the outlook entry for Jordan. Select the option to link it to other contacts. Find the Google contact. They'll then be linked.
