    aww man my pre headset and bluetooth started acting up, so i got a replacement/refurb unit with about a good 1/4 inch of play in the oreo effect! i know its not much but it is a major nuicense to me since my broken pre is solid. maybe im just being nit picky but would you complain to sprint?

    get it replaced right away. refurb means returned to new condition...

    I think we should just name the next update oreo. Then people will be happy to get oreo.

    hey beatz, is the palm profile still down? i have to activate my new pre and am without a phone now. any time frame as to when it will be resolved?

    I went to the sprint store a while back about the oreo in my replacement and the guy pulled out his and showed me "every pre has oreo and mines worse than yours"

    I went to a corporate store and they fixed me right up--even asked if instead I want any other phone on the shelf.

    Yeah I had mine replaced thru sprint customer service (mail) and it was sloppy as all <heck>. Went to local Sprint store pitched a <angry fit> and they replaced it on the spot.

    Yep and I have left for the day, although I will be checking email frequently and will update as soon as I have info.

    I just got my replacement today and I couldn't restore my data.
    I thought it was just on my end, so I created a new one.

    I've probably complained about the crappy Pre hardware quality more than anybody, but I must admit, I have an original launch day Pre with zero oreo effect.
    I know....I can't believe it either, lol.
    Now if I can find a way to make that cheap plastic feel go away...oh yeah, it's called the EVO.

    Got a replacement Pre today, my broken pre had zero wobble, I was soo happy with it. The new one was the WORST pre i've ever had.

    I asked nicely if I could have a replacement again and they said ok and or offered me a HTC Moment or a Pixi, I said... excuse me? I said can you get me a free evo? They said we can't even get that phone in stock.. so then a Palm Pre Obviously.

    TOO BOOT, on my way home from work tonight, I pulled the usb door open and bam came right off.

    Im not sure what i'll do if the next replacement is bad also. Yesterday they told me there were no New Pre's onsite, that they had to order THE RECON one from the warehouse. Don't knjow how truthful that is.

    But will see, btw, the MANFUACTUR date was 09/09, I even showed them it. They just shrugged it off. I can't believe I got such a OLD pre as a replacement.

    I can't state it is fixed as I have not gotten an official word on that, however we are not receiving any more reports of the issue, so you may be able to log into your profiles.

    I got a refurb a few months back, same problem. I had a solid Pre, and got one with a terrible oreo effect. I just kept it, it has the same amount of play and hasn't broken or fallen apart. Then again, I have a hard leather case for it, so it's prob kept it a bit more intact than if i were to have it in my pocket without one

    I'm happy to report my replacement Pre is rock solid, no oreo, looks and feels like a brand new Pre!

    Holy crap! I just checked and they sent me a brand new Pre!

    Thanks, that's been bugging me for the longest time.
    They sent me a brand new one as well.
    The little nob buttin in the middle is oh so shiny.
    Looks a lot different then my last one.
    It feels a lot more valuable then it's supposed to be. Lol.

    Got a replacement pre for the 2nd time this week becuase the one was just terrible with oreo and the usb door came off.

    The one I got today was solid and felt new, however it was manufactured slightly after release of the pre, and its a recon of recently. Either way its in Brand New Wobble Free condition.
