    It's much easier with internalz or ssh
    But Internalz cannot open the file to display its value. Or am I missing something?

    Dang. We've had ours the same amount of time. Yet I'm at an "age" of 66%...

    Oh well, just ordered a Palm OEM battery off of Amazon for under $15 bucks. And you can bet I know the first thing I'm going to do when I pop this baby in!

    I have the Mugen (previously I said Seido which is wrong) 1350 mAH and getcapacity displays 1333.226. Have my battery since April 2010 and I charge the Pre Plus on the Touchstone every night. thorne

    Worked fine for me. Make sure you're tapping the file's icon on the left. If that doesn't work, maybe it needs to be in Master Mode?? ... no, that can't be right. Dunno.

    Mugen 1400 Battery 8 1/2 months old, Getfull40 = 1363, Getage = 92.06, wow, still in the 90's, great battery. Spent most of it's life on a TS charger, either at home or in the car.

    I get this error when I tap the file: "No handler for <file>"

    I honestly have not noticed much better life on the Seidio battery versus the stock. Would really like to know if the device just isn't able to register the higher capacity.

    Ah I see. I have Internalz v1.0.1 and the latest is 1.2. I wonder why PreWare didn't tell me there's an update. Probably because I installed with WOSQI. thorne

    Did the math as described in post #1 and I get 1341.826171875.

    Finally back with additional info on my allegedly 1350mAh Seidio battery.
    Recap:
    getfull40 = 1150
    getage = 94.53
    getcapacity = 1086.510

    New info requested from /var/log/messages after fully charged:
    {powerd}: BATTERY_IPC: (1068.800049mAh, 100%, 100%_ui, 37C, 84mA, 4187mV, authentic)

    That'll do it! (though preware should have still found that there's an update, even though it was installed with WOSQI)

    Oh, well, battery stat away now!

    So looks like some Seidio 1350s are actually 1150 and some are 1350. That's not cool.

    I have to comment on the getfull40 numbers again. Something is fishy is clearly going on because an exact number of 1150 is nearly impossible to reach through empirical testing. My hypothesis is that if for some reason the Pre can't read the full capacity of that battery, it automatically defaults to 1150.

    This might actually be a problem for those with sedio batteries that read 1150 because the pre might not be attempting to charge the battery to its full charge capacity

    except my Seidio battey said 2600, which is it's listed amount. The giant battery really does last ~twice as long, too. I bought it to use on a vacation, where I wouldn't be near a charger. And it's so nice not to worry about running out of power that I haven't swapped the 'nornal' one back, even thoug I miss touchstone chargiing and don't have a case that fits the fat back.

    by the way, one weird power thing I've noticed is that different physical devices chew through power differently. I recently got a replacement refurb, and this one eats batteries noticibly faster than my original Pre. It sometimes will go through the standard battery in a long evening. That's a major reason I've stuck with the at back. (unless one of the problems that led me to replace the Pre also damaged the battery, somehow. Or it coincidentally started to fail just then.) hmmm, I ougt to check out the Seidio 1350 and the two Palm batteries I have lying around. . .

    my sedio 1350 started at 1364 and is now at 1144 :/

    should have got the mugen one

    Mine is 1044.4775390625

    That means it holds around 1044mah?

    My Mugen 1400 battery:
    Getage = 97.7
    Getfull40 = 1363

    Nearly 98%, so pretty great resilience since my phone spends most of the time as you said: TS charger either in the car or at home. And my phone gets super hot alot of the time (I live in Texas). Today I had my phone by the pool in the sun and checked the temperature and it was 58C!

    I've found evidence in the power daemon (powerd) that the phone will shutdown after reaching 60C.
