Given the main article http://www.precentral.net/what-switchers-miss where lot's of people who have left for the EVO have said they would possibly switch back to a webOS device in the future, raises an interesting question for me. How long does your Palm Profile live? Forever?

Say I move to an EVO today, use it for a year, then decide to switch back to the Palm PrePhoenix in a year running webOS 2.3.5, when I log into my Palm Profile on the PrePhoenix, do I get all the apps I bought on my Palm Pre? Or after a year will that profile have been deleted and I have to start all over again?

I've actually wondered about it myself as well, hopefully someone knows an answer.

I can't state forever, because I can't state what will be decided 6 months from now, I can't state what may be decided tomorrow.

However, at this time Palm has no intentions of deleting any data off of the servers so your data can be accessed again if you decide to come back to a Palm device.

Thanks HardBeatZ!! I know no one can every state anything emphatically when it comes to things like this, but I like the "no intentions" part of that. Makes it easier to consider that I would not be losing money invested in apps, etc., while gone on a sabbatical.

I've never heard of Palm saying there was an expiration date on profiles, so just assume that much?
