    I'm off to the US for 3 weeks work and I want to use my Pre instead of the dumb phone work will give me (can claim back usage). So I was wondering what network I will be roaming on, and will I get full 3G data?

    I think you will be able to get voice while roaming on AT&T and T-Mobile, but not sure about 3g. From reading these forums, I don't think you will get 3g because of the different frequencies that the US uses to us.

    you can visit any local ATT store and pick up a prepaid sim card.

    not sure on cost per minute, but it will bay way cheaper than roaming

    unlimited data $1us per day

    I don't think you can as the O2 Pre's are carrier locked.

    There are only 2 national GSM operators in the US - AT&T and T-Mobile. I don't think either of them are affiliated to Telefonica / O2. See here:
