I think it's just for Verizon users, but I have Bing as a default search option if I go into my Browser preferences. (And I have not installed any patches to accomplish this).

I've enabled this option, and the Bing mobile search actually works pretty well! So bye-bye Google until they fix this problem!

Count me in. This is driving me crazy. I didn't realize how often I search on my Pre until now.

I signed up and posted, and I previously submitted a feedback form. What a pain.

This is sad because if something like this happened to an iPhone or Heavens to Betsy an Android phone, it would be fixed in a few hours. It would also be all over Engadget and Gizmodo sites.

I just talked to Palm and they said they see no problem. Is anyone doing this on a non-patched WebOS device?

Will someone inform Mashable....their story is WRONG!

They say Google is in their Top 6 sites on mobile devices.

Just checked my wife's unpatched pre. looks equally awful.

I'm on a pre without any patches and it looks like crap for me too. Maybe palm doesn't realize it shouldn't look that way. I also didn't realize how much I search on my phone.

BTW I'm on a sprint Pre.

Unless the guy was lying to me, maybe we're over looking something here?
    1. Does this happen on all devices, Pre, Pre Plus and Pixi?
    2. Does this happen on all carriers?
    3. Does it happen in the emulators?
    4. Can anyone show it doesn't happen on their device (iPhone Spoof doesn't count)?

Hi everyone, at first I thought I was losing my mind while I was looking for new wallpapers. The nice gallery format that google images used to show in no longer exists. I get a single column of images and then further down the page the column shifts and I can only see half of the rest of the images.

I'm on an unpatched AT&T Pre Plus running 1.4.2. This started happening in the last few days, but I'm not sure of the exact date.

Well I guess this is not happening and no one has ever reported this to Palm:

    6:52 PM Connecting...
6:52 PM Connected. A support representative will be with you shortly.
6:52 PM Support session established with Hillary.

    6:53 PM Hillary: Hello Dave.
6:53 PM Dave S: WebOS devices don't display google results properly.
6:53 PM Hillary: Thank you for contacting Palm. My name is Hillary.
6:53 PM Dave S: WebOS devices don't display google results properly.
6:54 PM Hillary: I understand that you have the problem with the google search.
6:55 PM Hillary: We haven't received any cases from the customers regarding this issue.
6:55 PM Hillary: Have you tried to restart the device?
6:55 PM Dave S: This happens on everyone I knows WebOS device. Do you have an actual WebOS device in front of you?
    6:56 PM Hillary: Yes.
6:56 PM Hillary: We do not have any problem with it.
6:56 PM Hillary: I have duplicated the issue.
6:56 PM Hillary: Let me know the webOS version you have on the device.
6:56 PM Hillary: Open Device info and check it.
6:57 PM Dave S: I can even make it happen in the emulator, would you like to see a screen shot of the emulator having this problem?
6:57 PM Hillary: Please check the webOS version you have.
6:58 PM Dave S: Can I send you the screen shot?
6:58 PM Hillary: Are you sending it as link?
6:59 PM Dave S: Tell me the ways I could send it to you?
6:59 PM Hillary: You can send it as link if you have.
    7:00 PM Dave S: http://forums.precentral.net/attachm...or-example.jpg
7:00 PM Hillary: This is not a known issue, you cannot confirm the issue by following the third party links.
7:01 PM Dave S: That is an example I uploaded along with many other people.
7:03 PM Dave S: I'm not sure why you choose to disbelieve WebOS users because they have website that discusses WebOS?
7:05 PM Hillary: Let me know the webOS version you have.
7:05 PM Dave S: It happens in all versions
7:06 PM Hillary: Have you performed any troubleshooting steps?
7:09 PM Hillary: Are you with me?
7:10 PM Dave S: You mean besides confirming that this is happening to every WebOS user? And trying this in the emulator?
7:10 PM Dave S: I have another person with a Pixi sitting next to me right now who has the same problem.
7:11 PM Hillary: This is not happening with every webOS user.
7:12 PM Dave S: Are you in another country?
7:12 PM Hillary: We are not coming across these type of issues
7:12 PM Dave S: Are you not in America, the only thing I haven't checked is if this is America specific. Can you answer that question please?
7:13 PM Hillary: I am located in India.
7:13 PM Dave S: Can you go to the american google page? and try this?
7:14 PM Hillary: Sure, let me try it.
7:15 PM Hillary: It is working fine.
7:15 PM Dave S: It must be because you are in India that this is not happening to you but I assure you it is happening to everyone here.
7:19 PM Hillary: I understand your concern, but this is not happening with all the customers.
7:19 PM Hillary: If we can try some troubleshooting steps, that may fix the issue.
7:20 PM Dave S: I'm sure if you contact any single person in the USA they can confirm this for you. Can you contact anyone in the USA, since you don't believe me?
7:21 PM Hillary: Let me cross check it.
    7:21 PM Dave S: Thanks.
7:22 PM Hillary: Thank you for staying with me.
7:23 PM Hillary: I have checked it. But we never a crossed this type of issues recently.
7:23 PM Hillary: I have checked all the issues we got today.

It's not only happening to us, I noticed on AndroidForums.com yesterday some people with Evos were having the issue, too.
