Is there a way to control how the long screen stays lit up before the phone shuts down into lock mode? If I'm reading something I don't want it to suddenly shut off on me.

What would be ideal is if there is some sort of interim state where the screen would dim.

if you go into screen & lock options you'll find 'turn off after' options. theres different intervals from 30 seconds-3 minutes

I'm trying to remember how come I never had an issue with my Blackberry. I think the device detected my movements and kept the screen on. Is that possible?

Preware is the definitive Homebrew, Patch, Kernel, etc. over the air installer... you have to install Preware with webOS Quick Install via USB connection to computer and then it's smooth sailing.

Thanks. Can you direct me to the starting point link? I've followed a few links to webos quick install and each thread says, version x.x has been released, click here.

Go to the "Canuck Software" forum here (its under the Homebrew Apps forum) for the latest WOSQI. I'm on my phone right now or I would look it up for ya.

Doesn't matter which quick install you download, since once you start it up, it will ask you if you want to download the latest firmware. (But i believe the newest version is here http://forums.precentral.net/canuck-...l-v3-14-a.html )

Then once you're through with that, you go here.
