my phone's power button just broke and the battery is rapidly depleting...i may not make it home before the battery dies. (i'm at 14% and won't get home until 330

this may have been answered before (i'll have to go look at the forums when i got home...)

    my questions are:

    1) is there any way to get my info off the phone and onto the computer if the phone will not turn on.

    and leading from that...

    2) is there any way to turn back on a Pre other than using the power button?

i'm about to be REAL sad i'm afraid

any help would be greatly appreciated

opening the slider or pressing a button on the keyboard will turn on your phone.

Doesn't plugging it into a computer charge the phone?

From what I remember, when my battery completely died, I plugged in the charger and waited about 5 to 10 min and the phone turned itself on. Its been a long time since my phone has died completely, but that is what I remember happening.

Yes, if your phone dies and you charge it, the phone will turn on when the battery reaches a certain capacity. You do not need the power button.
