    If I type the word 'mule', that's what I meant to type, not 'MILE'!!! How can you stop this feature?

    BTW, any time this happens, hit the backspace key once and it will undo the word replacement without deleting the last character...

    in addition to the ideas above, a few users have compiled their own auto-replace files and shared them here:

    The trouble with the 3000-autoreplace-patch is that there are a very large number of changes that aren't really correct. Many of us have shared our own lists (and the changes) in the above-mentioned thread.
