I know if the files are DRM the Pre will ignore them... I don't know anything about Double Twist as I have never used it. I have used Media monkey, but only to tag files, never to "sync", so I'm unsure of the process involved there either. :\

For whatever it's worth, MediaMonkey works perfectly for me. Can you check the format of the songs you're trying to sync that aren't showing up for you on the phone? Are they mp3? aac? m4p? wma? That might tell us why you're having the problem.

I was able to get the Music app to recognize the .mp3 files I dragged to the "Downloads" folder on the Pre. All you have to do is plug it in, choose USB Mode, explore the Pre and drag and drop to that folder and *voila* no need for third party software!

mp4 is typically a VIDEO format. I don't think the Music App can play them. Try opening the Video App and see if they show up and can be played in that.

Palm WebOS can't play m4a files. Try converting them to one of the following:

    Media formats supported:

Audio formats: MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV
    Video formats: MPEG-4, H.263, H.264

There's plenty of free software out there that can do it. iTunes can convert to mp3 format if you have that. Format Factory (Format Factory - Free media file format converter) is one that I use. Media Monkey can also do it.

it can play m4a. plenty of my music is that file type. Non-DRM m4a files are AAC codec.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was going off the info Palm has available at Palm USA | Palm Pre Phone | Features, Details which does not state that m4a is supported, but I guess the info they published is incorrect. Either way, hopefully conversion of the music to one of the other listed formats can correct the issue.

well my phone use to play all my music then I loaded media monkey and it will only play a few songs now . It also converted all my music somehow to m4a when it was all mp3 before hand. Now I will just convert everything back to mp3 and hopefully that will work
