399.99 is more than reasonable. An iPhone 3GS 16GB is 599 no contract. Phones aren't manufactured free you know. With Palm and the carrier taking a cut, it's about ballpark.

This brainwash getting people to think phones are free is so strong... let's not forget it's really there to get people into contracts only.
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIÉ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

Watch out at&t customers: if you had unlimited data plan for $15 a month, with a German Palm Pre for example (hence no 3G), and you choose to buy the Palm Pre Plus on at&t website, you will be forced to choose a data plan starting at $30. Just be aware of that
