I am not sure if this is the right place to post but i dont see a thread for the testing uber-kernal. this most recent update was supposed to allow a lower frequency than 500. I installed it but i am still only going to 500 even though it is set to 125. running from command script on webosqi to check it with screen off.

I have the same issue running -39 UK and 0.4.5 Govnah. I set screenstate to min 125, but a check with cat /proc/cpuinfo shows the phone never goes below when the screen is off. Any ideas?

Kicks up to 800 just fine when screen is on.

It's a sticky in the WebOS Internals sub-forum.

I ran the first 800mhz patch to overclock my phone. I was hesitant to uninstall the patch and get the uber kernel due to preware issues I had in the past. I was suprised on how easy it was to do and install. And I like the fact that I can now upgrade my webos without uninstalling the patch. Just loving my phone more

this Uber kernal makes my Pre always get the TMC notice. How do I tell the version of the kernel I have? And should I uninstall?

You can see the version in the Installed Apps section in Preware.

In general, if you're having problems with any package you should uninstall that package.

Your particular experience with UberKernel is not shared by others, and there are no known issues in that area. So you need to find a repeatable test case.

    Hi,
first, thank you for this! It looks so awesome, the fact that I can't get it to work yet is absolute torture to me haha

So I tried to search if anyone had this error when installing UK, but I didn't find a solution. It is the first time I install or modify a kernel component, so my kernel pack should be stock. When I try to install UK: I get an error with this log:

    Could anyone help me out?
You have previously installed something incorrectly (i.e. what have you installed without using Preware or WebOS Quick Install?) and it has filled up your root partition.

At this point, as a result of that, you're best advised to doctor the phone.

It's available in Preware. See the UberKernel and Govnah threads.
