I know this has been discussed, but I could not find what I needed with search.

I am trying to prepare for the update. I reverted back to 500. I then tried to uninstall a theme via Preware, but no theme is listed as being installed. I tried to re-download the theme, but it would not download. Probably because it sees the theme already there.

What do I need to do to get it off before the update? How critical is it to have the themes removed before the update?

Use WebOS Quick Install, go to the tools option and the themer window and click on Revert to default. That should reset your theme to the original theme.

Interestingly, I just tried that tip. WOSQI noted that I was then running the original theme, but the custom theme was still on my Pre! Therefore, I again tried to re-download the theme, with success. After that it showed up in Preware and allowed me to remove it.

Thank You! Now, to install the update.
