I do have the UberKernel (Pre/Pre+) installed along with Govanh.
Looks like we have very similar programs (I, too, have UK and Govenah):

I beleive that these items will be ok, however, I will do a test uninstall and then run the (EFV) to see if the same results are yielded.

If you see my post above, I had the same set of flags. I just verified that it was caused by UK. I had a few minutes and I removed UK, did a battery pull reset, and reran Verification. All the above mentioned flags disappeared. Then I reinstalled UK thru Preware, again restarted. When I reran Verification, I got the same set of flags again.

Comments anyone? Does this mean that Uber Kernel is still safe to leave up when updating?

Are you running the UK that is in the testing feed or are you using the public release uk? Are you on a pre or pixi and what webOS version?

Did you try removing the agps patch also from earlier?

UK is the public release one, from Preware, v1.4.1-58. I was on the earlier version, and had an update to both UK and Govnah a couple of days ago, by way of Preware. As mentioned earlier, this afternoon I uninstalled both Govnah and UK, followed by a battery pull/reboot. Used Preware/Emergency File Verification to check. In IPKG error log, all items relating to kernel were gone.
    File: /boot/config-2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430
    File: /boot/uImage-2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430
    File: /lib/modules/2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430/kernel/crypto/ecb.ko
    File: /lib/modules/2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430/kernel/drivers/net/ifb.ko

    File: /lib/modules/2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430/kernel/crypto/pcbc.ko
    File: /lib/modules/2.6.24-palm-joplin-3430/kernel/drivers/scsi/scsi_wait_scan.ko .

However, when I reinstalled UK and govnah from Preware, the same flags in IPKG error log came back.

I am on VZW's Pre Plus. WebOS 1.4.1.1. I don't even know where the testing feed area is. So I am pretty sure none of my patches are from the testing feed.

I did removed the agps patch, rebooted with battery pull. I still have the same flags re: notes, wifi, VZnavigator, Odd, etc. So I know it couldn't be the agps patch.

The remaining error logs were not effected by removal of agps:
    File: /usr/palm/applications/com.nim.app.vznavigator/framework_config.json
    File: /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.notes/framework_config.json
    File: /usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.odd/framework_config.json

/boot and /lib/modules are normal for a device with a custom kernel installed. A kernel is not a patch, so this tool doesn't know about it.

The framework_config.json files are due to applying the minimal logging modification. It too is not a patch, so this tool doesn't know about it.

Thank you for clarification. I did apply the minimal logging modification, but I reversed it back to default shortly thereafter. Does this mean that I did not successful reverse the logging modification?

I would not be too concerned about the framework_config files.

Re-run, and all errors relating to the logging and uber kernel have been cleared.

    Same here, no errors.
You are the HEAT! Thanks Rod
  18. #98
Okay. I decided to do the EFV 2.2.0 today to see where I stood.

It gave me the error that I needed to remove (and reinstall) 2 patches:

    Default Calender to Week View
Add Bing & Yahoo / Remove Twitter.

I removed those via Preware (Luna restart after each)

Re-ran EFV and got the same message.

    Message appears in "Postinst" section

    Sprint Palm Pre 1.4.1.1

Do I need to do anything else?

    ETA: also says:

    Delete: Nothing Interesting
    Failed: Nothing Interesting
  19. #99
    Okay. Getting worse.

I reinstalled the two patches and rechecked.

    Getting :

    "Unable to run command IPKG_OFFLINE_ROOT........."

Detected stock files modified via a method other than supported patch technologies.
    File: /etc/udev/mount.blacklist

Same kernel here. F102 800mhz with compcache and govnah.
Can I just install the kernel recovery from the preware feed and be done with it?
