Thanks for the correction/clarification! I am doing this now and will report back with the next log.

OK, I unistalled the 800mhz kernel and luna restart, plus I turned off CPU scaling. I ran EFV again and here's my log:

    File: /var/lib/software/tmp/flashing-progress.tga

    SO what does this mean?
  3.    #43
If you read back through the thread there are about 4 other people with the same problem - no solution has been found for fixing that error because WebOS Repair Utility doesn't seem to work.

Ignore it for now, as there is no known fix.

Just found this on a Google search, even though PreCentral search didn't find it. If Rod says ignore it, my fears are at rest.

So, can I turn back on my Super PreKernel 800mhz and CPU Scaler?

Were they causing some problem or are we in the clear since there were no other errors?

    Many thanks again !!!

Sure... you can turn them back on again. Out of interest, why did you go through all this? It's normally only necessary if you're just about to do a firmware update

Ha! I was having trouble with installing a theme and I thought that I had a corrupt patch or something that was preventing the theme from working. Honestly, I've had nothing but headaches from themes, so I give up.

But YOU have been a big help - very patient, very helpful. I'm grateful!

For my part, I went through it in anticipation of future install if Uberkernel (if Verizon users ever get 1.4.1). I was concerned that an overclock patch had corrupted some files that would prevent Uber form installing once I was able.

Verizon customers updating to 1.4.1.1 today I'd recommend reading this thread

Realize this is an old thread but hoping for a bit of advice - in a word "wow"...

This is a copy of what I found in RED in the Preware IPKG Log:

There are a couple which have already been discussed in this thread - also I am running a recent Preware installation of Uberkernal & Govnah, (the only overclocking ever installed on this device), so would imagine those are to be expected? Have no as to what the rest of it is trying to tell me....

    Any advice? TIA!

framework_config.json is probably due to turning off logging.
    /boot and /lib/modules is UberKernel
smartkey is probably an app you have installed which changes the autocorrect

Thank you Rod, think I should be able to just wait it out and see what happens when the next update is finally released. Device is running too sweet right now to mess with it.

    excellent. post should be stickied

Items 2, 3, and 4 in the first post will leave your device with an incorrect version of LunaSysMgr installed, and possibly other lurking problems, if you have left those items installed previously while accepting an OTA webOS update.

If you have ever had any kernel or overclocking solution installed that you did not install using Preware (e.g. items 2, 3 and 4 in the first post of this thread), then you have used a non-OTA safe package that puts back incorrect files on your device when uninstalled in certain circumstances, and I advise backing up all your data and doing a webOS Doctor before the next webOS update arrives.

I have my autoreplace dictionary modified but honestly I think that's the only thing.
