OK, so this weekend I was talking to a friend and i got another call and didn't want to pick it up, but my friend who I was talking to had lost his signal and we got cut off, and all of a sudden, the Call waiting person was on the phone!!!

I tried it again with my friend calling me and then had another friend call, had the original caller hang up purposely, and sure enough the same thing happened again and the call waiting call automatically answered.

    Has anyone else noticed this?
I am equivalent to a man dammit.

So I saw this issue and thought that is the strangest thing ever. So I tried to replicate it and failed on Sprint..but worked for Verizon.

    Here are my observations

    Sprint Pre
    1. Called from desk phone and answered on Pre
    2. Called from second Sprint Pre and then hanged up the phone on the desk
    3. Called preceded to go to voicemail as intended

    Verizon Pre
    1. Called from desk phone and answered on Pre
    2. Called from Sprint Pre and then hanged up the phone on the desk
    3. Called got pushed straight through and I was on the phone with my other cell phone

    Verizon 650
    1. Called from desk phone and answered on Pre
    2. Called from Sprint Pre and then hanged up the phone on the desk
    3. Called got pushed straight through and I was on the phone with my other cell phone

So based on this it sounds like a carrier issue at least as far as I can tell. I'm going to still log the issue and see what can be done as it is a strange bug none the less.

I would be interested if anyone else's findings matches mine or does not match up.

See? This is why Palm is a great company. Guys like HBZ monitoring user forums for issues and concerns and addressing them right away. Does Apple or Google do this? No.

    Way to go HBZ!

Anyone have access to a non Palm Verizon device to do testing for me?

If so please see if you can replicate the issue.

    Thanks,

I'm not sure..I'm trying to isolate the issue to being a pure carrier issue so need further testing done.

So this is what seems like to be a Verizon only issue (although some other CDMA carriers may be affected by the issue). There isn't anything we will be able to change to make it not do this.
