Does anybody know if you use the set speed to 600mhz with cpu scaler app, while you have the 800mhz kernel installed, will the speed be set to 600 or will it still be at 800?

it'll be set at 600. you can check it by using the linux command line and typing "cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq"

I have to ultimate (paid) version installed, and yes I can confirm that.
I set mine to scale between 500-800, and have not really messed with it except to show it off a bit.
