Not to be mean or anything, but I haven't seen any patches that I MUST have, although I admit there are a lot of things that would be nice, there really isn't anything that I absolutely need to do that I can't do with a vanilla device.

I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who says Video Camera Flashlight isn't a must Especially since with it, recording quality improves majorly in several conditions, heh.

But all my patches are MIT license and Palm is welcomed to incorporated any of em. Love you guys

Personally, these are my must-have patches:
    • Advanced Reset Options
    • Change Number of Bookmarks on Startpage
    • Date As Carrier String
    • Device Menu Remix with Flashlight
    • Browser Gesture+Tap Context Menu
    • Really Silent Ringer Switch Mute
    • Video Camera Flashlight
    • YouTube Video Downloads

My must have homebrew are simple:
    • Preware
    • Internalz
    • wIRC
    • VisualBoyAdvance

If you've liked my software, please consider to towards future development.

Developer of many apps such as: WebOS Quick Install, WebOS Theme Builder, Ipk Packager, Unified Diff Creator, Internalz Pro, ComicShelf HD, LED Torch, over 70 patches and more.

    1-5 Is preware
6-10 Is switharoo. Theres nothing better that having 400 images and everytime you look at your phone, there is a different pic. This is my fetish. lol

Bumping this up because I've really enjoyed all the suggestions. There's a ton of stuff out there and I'd never have known about it without this forum. Still a little afraid to try the overclocking/kernel stuff... I'm scared I'm going to fry my device or install something wrong and I'll be SOL.

See I wouldn't even know as long as I have had the video camera I haven't even used it once

Having one device that does it all is great, but I still like to carry my individual devices around that specialize in one area.

So many, that is what makes this phone so much fun, just pick what suits you and go -
    1) Preware - without this the following are so much easier to use
    2) SuperPre Kernel and Govnah for performance
    3) Mobile HotSpot
    4) Photo Dialer
    5) Battery Percent - numbers beat small icon
    6) Increased font for top bar and text messaging - need I say more
    7) Top bar (can't remember name)- displays batter/temperature, and easy on/off for wi-fi,
    bluetooth, flashlight and airplane mode
    8) Enable landscape everything
    9) enter Key for new line - I kept hitting this like keyboard and sending partial messages
    10) Hide Nascar, dead NFL, and other programs I do not want to see
    11) Backgrounds - can pick perfect pics for whatever the mood
    12) Lyric-A Pro Beta - not shazam but fun to play with
    13) Calendar - change to month view
    14) Agenda - so easy to use

And on and on, I have a bunch

Backgrounds - many perfect fitting backgrounds that are downloadable based upon your mood

    Enable Landscape Email
    Full Screen Mode Browser
    Improved Photo Naming
    Hide Nascar App
    Battery % in Top Header

    My must have patches:

    1. 4x4 Icons v3
    2. Add Date - MM/DD
    3. Add Move to Folder Button
    4. Battery Icon as Percent
    5. Close Slider to End Regular Phone Calls Only
    6. Device Menu Megamix
    7. Faster Card Animations HYPER Version
    8. Improved Photo Naming PRE (*)
    9. Reset to Middle Page

(*) As a side note, I desperately wish there were a similar patch for Video files, too. Both of these patches would be unnecessary if the default naming convention didn't automatically restart at zero everytime you clear photos and videos off your phone.

    My must have homebrew:

    1. Preware
    2. Battery Monitor
    3. JsTop
    4. Quick System Tasks
    5. Music (Remix)
    6. Keyring
