I have the need to tether my phone for my laptop this week. So I've been reading several of the threads on tethering... but from what I'm gleaning it appears as though tethering apps are no longer working for 1.4.1? Or am I reading the threads wrong. I'm looking to do this with Bell, but it doesn't seem to be a feature built into the phone yet.

I've seen a thread for and app called My Tether which at the moment doesn't seem to be working for many people. Also I've seen a thread about extracting the files from the Sprint Doctor files, but can't find those files anymore.

Anyone with better info out there than what I could glean?

    Thanks.

Bell units can tether via Bluetooth out of the box. On your PC create a Bluetooth PAN connection, consult help for your Bluetooth software.

Alternatively use Mobile Hotspot and create a Wi-Fi connection. Search for the other thread about Mobile Hotspot for Bell for instructions.
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIÉ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

Did it through Bluetooth with the PC! Piece of cake! Thanks for the tip.

one month before, my pre says it is not allowed please contact your provider (which is Bell Canada).
Tried again last week, it is working fine. Probably Bell changed their tethering policy.
