Puhhhleeezzzeee! I've had a lot of complaints about Sprint and I've had several smart phones, even without the update the Pre is better than most of them.

There are lovers, and there are haters. The rest are people who are too stupid to know any better!

So, if you have an issue with our love affair, take your hate affair elsewhere! Maybe you'll fall in love with another hater!

    +1 !!!

I have had a Palm since the Treo 600 days and been with Sprint since 1999! Is the Pre perfect? No! But I still find it better in it's 1.1 condition than any of my prior Treos and would never be able to go back to them!

I think Instink users are still waiting for their third update after 1 1/2 years......

As far as battery life, these tips do little for me. I have the extended batter by Seido and still struggle. It should be better. The Treo Pro was a lot better. I use the features on my phone. That is the reason I bought it. Not to turn the features off.

Nor am I a fan of rooting my pre. Just don't like the added work.
    Shotyme,

The 230 Homebrew apps and 39 tweaks don't require rooting. Who told you that you have to "root" your Pre?

As to the tweaks, you can remove them all by clicking the Remove All button. Have you actually tried that?

Also, I am not talking about the vast majority of Pre users. I am saying that right now today you have:

    1. webOS 1.2 coming with 67 improvements found so far
    2. 230 Homebrew Apps - Is there an app for that?
    3. webOS Quick Install - Is there a tweak for that? (There are dozens!)
    4. Music Player (Remix) fixes dozens of the biggest complaints with the Music Player.
    5. My Notification lets you set your alert sound.
    6. How to Install the On-Screen Keyboard gives you that feature too.

As to Improving Battery Life, what steps have you taken? What steps aren't you taking?

We can't control what will be in 1.2 or other future versions of webOS. Thankfully we don't have to. We can do it ourselves.

    dbd,

Who told you that you need to join PreCentral to file complaints with Palm?

Nothing could be further from the truth...

Complaining here is not the way to tell Palm of an issue. As noted in the opening post, if you want to tell Palm about your issues, please contact them directly:
    www.palm.com/us/company/feedback.html

PreCentral is a group of users working together to help each other make better use of our Pre's. Palm's forums are the forums to complain to Palm.

OK ... you've got to develop a Delete All button for the email. Really lame
to put out a phone that requires you to "swipe" delete your email to trash
AND THEN require you to swipe it again to remove it from your phone. Stupid.
Should have a camera with some kind of zoom. And, damn, video. You
seriously sent out a phone with no video. Bad idea. Chapura is the only app
that TRULY syncs with Outlook. It could be better (including sub-folders)
but you should have included a Pre version. The calendar is useless. My
Treo was better; could read it in Week mode. Why not Pre? Ringtones: NOT
LOUD ENOUGH. What were you thinking? Great phone; great look; but a lot of
stupid in the necessities. Please get cracking ...

Now that BigRenman has finally come out on his soapbox and mentioned all the shortcomings that have been said MANY times before on this board, Palm will get right on it.

While you make some valid points, probably not a great way to start off with your first post. Especially considering that all of these issues have been beaten to death in this forum already.

    What's 1.2.1?
    Treo 600 > Treo 650 > HTC Mogul (*****!) > HTC Touch Pro (***** squared!) > PRE! > Epic

That's the update that is supposedly coming out now, instead of 1.2.
