Pre Plus GPS hardly works

Lately I've found that my GPS accuracy is several *hundred* meters off...even in open spaces, with Google Services on, and giving it plenty of time to acquire a signal. Additionally, I'm travelling internationally right now (no CDMA) and am only using wifi, and am getting similar resuts. Sometimes Google maps tells me outright that may position can't be determined. The only thing I can think of is a patch I've installed has somehow thrown off my GPS. Does anyone know of any patches that might have this effect, such as the 800mhz patch? Should I return the hardware as defective to Verizon?

If you want accuracy turn Google Services OFF. Google Services makes Pre default to AGPS (Assisted) instead of real GPS, which of course wouldn't give you accurate results as it uses cell towers to triangulate. Read my posts here if you have GPS problems, like I once did.

I have the same issue except worse. It keeps telling me I am about a mile and a half from my location. I am hoping 1.4.1 fixes this.
