The CDMA Pre is designed to work on Sprint's network, the Pre Plus on Verizon. Other than those two networks with those specific models, all bets are off. Maybe you should look into on the the networks originally designed for that device.

That's what happens when you run devices on an unsupported carrier. If you don't know how to fix it yourself, you really shouldn't be doing it on the first place.

It is obvious you bought the device from someone who flashed it (or they provided you with an illegal ROM), but my recommendation is to contact them and to contact Cricket to see if they are getting the texts through on their end.

You need to talk to Cricket and have them re-flash it for you....that's what they do with thier open handset policy

But can they actually flash a webOS device to work there? If so, I might get my brother a Pre Plus (with a bad ESN) off of eBay (hehe).

I have no clue what the others were talking about i have pre flashed to cricket and it works just fine. i had your issue initially as well if you got full flash all you do is go into terminal app and type in cricket mms hit enter and it should work you will get text messages and all pix messages as well (send, recieve) enjoy

It seems possible to flash it to Cricket. The problems really start when a WebOS update comes out.
