Okay, so since it seems to be a trend with bell to delay updating its customers' Pre's every update. I decided to take a bit of liberty and make a fun pool.

How long do you think it will take Bell to get off their *** and send the update out?

I have a good feeling at about 4 days.

Actually, they don't have a trend. The last 3 updates are quite clear. When 1.3.5 came out, Bell did not release it, because Palm promised 1.3.5.1 within 2 weeks, and when that came out, Bell users got 1.3.5.1 on the same day as Sprint. 1.4 was delayed to fix a MMS bug.

I don't think there will be much delay, if anything, on 1.4.1

^ it was delayed because of a video MMS bug... which was never fixed

What can't read thread titles?? Who cares that you're in ATL, GA and that you just got the update?? This thread is about Bell Canada NOT delivering updates.

Palm now has an official statement regarding the update and the paid app catalogue for Canada...... it's "...coming soon..."

Official notice from Palm to all Canadian customers:

    Dear Canadian Palm supporters:

Thank you for purchasing our phone, we have your money, now bend over.

    Sincerely

Once again Bell drops the ball and disappoints all Canadian Palm users.

Wow I'm really starting to get ticked off by this. What's going to happen when Bell stops selling the pre, is that going to mean no more updates?

    Lame...

I think Poll's should be disabled for a while.

One huge benefit to the iPhone upgrade system, Apple doesn't need 'carrier approval' to roll out an update.

Both Palm and Bell are to blame for the disgusting service that Palm supporters get in Canada. Bell for being absolute d!ckheads when it comes to support and Palm for not being firm when handling dealer issues.

Yep, I can confirm that number. I suspect that the reason is that the developers are updating their apps to 1.4.1x compatibility which causes them to disappear from the 1.4.0 catalogue. (just a guess mind you, but it would fit)
