If anyone is familiar with the camera hardware, I'd appreciate some input. My camera doesn't work. It began with gray screen issue. Currently the camera app opens normally, with all buttons available. If I click on the video, it records perfectly, stores the video, everything is fine. However, if I try and take a picture, the screen freezes like it should, but the picture is empty with a placeholder X.

If I try and open the picture in Photoshop I get the following message:

"Could not open "J: DCIM......CIMGG0068.jpg" because an invalid second SOI or SOFn JPEG marker found."

My primary question is whether or not this could be a hardware problem requiring a new phone. I doubt it, since the video camera function works perfectly. This sounds like software, as if the file isn't being written correctly. Can anyone familiar with the camera hardware help on this?
