So today I was going to Red Rock Canyon outside of Vegas and using the Sprint Nav for directions. As we got closer to it, the phone signal went out, but Sprint Nav was still up and running giving directions. It even picked up when we stopped on the side of the road and gave us the "you are now offtrack" warning. I didn't think the Pre could do this... Has anyone else seen this?

i believe it downloads all of the maps necessary to complete navigation without a signal. the only time you would need a signal after you've already started is if you change routes.

One of the problems I have had is when it tries to check the route, if there's no signal it will get lost. I had a problem with this once in northern wisc. Then I remembered to turn on data roaming
