I love 1.4 - speed-wise, the new stuff, etc.... but when I snap a picture now I am waiting 5-10 sec for the shutter sound and I can't tell when it's actually taking the photo.

    Anybody else?

sorry if this has been covered.

Are you using the on-screen "button", or pressing the space bar? I use the space bar, and don't have this problem, unless the light is very low. Even then, it's not 3-5 seconds, more like 1 or 2.

Before 1.4 i had no delay... now i have the OP delay in both pic and vid... and any delay in taking a pic isnt good as things change sec by sec

Noticed the delay also. Also the image that "freezes" on the screen (suggesting that will be what the picture looks like) is often slightly different than the actual pic when you go into photos and view it.

There is a huge delay compared to previous firmware versions. Palm are aware of it thanks to our resident Palm technician. Hopefully the next OTA update will fix this.

My camera and video have become nearly useless to me because of the delay. I have the added bonus of anything with an overlay (video camera, camera, youtube, videos) all quit working and just give me a gray screen. It won't work until a reboot and it usually ends up happening again a few hours later.

WebOS 1.4.1. addresses this issue. Updating to this version should resolve the problem. Please report back if 1.4.1. does not resolve the issue for you.

Thanks Hardbeatz for updating this thread. Just saw the change log for the UK and this fix is in there.
