So the GPS chip on my pre plus is dead. I'm pretty sure it's a hardware failure. If you run the interactive test it returns no coordinates and says it couldn't find a signal. I've tried it inside and outside. I've already done a partial erase and ran the webOS doctor as palm tech support has advised me to do. Now they want me to partial erase again and create a dummy palm profile and see if that changes it. Currently waiting for them to call back. I'll keep you guys posted.

So to update the situation: the dummy profile didn't change anything. This seems to be a straight up hardware failure. Palm told me I needed to talk to Verizon in order to get a replacement. I called them up and since my phone is barely over 30 days old I'm only eligible for a refurb, not a new pre! I'm not quite happy and I'm gonna head to a store tomorrow and attempt to haggle in person.
