My issue seems related to the wosqi version I am using or something. I couldn't get pkill LunaSysMgr to work from its linux command line....Not sure what is up with that.

Nice, Getting permission denied from wosqi. Moving on to putty.

same results. I have sent the file to /var/home/root

I then type: sh /var/home/root/luna600patch.sh install

    I get

    root@palm-webos-device:/var/home/root# sh /var/home/root/luna600patch.sh install
    : not foundoot/luna600patch.sh: line 2:
/var/home/root/luna600patch.sh: line 3: syntax error: word unexpected (expecting "in")

it has something to do with either luna manager but most likely with the package manager because luna needs the package manager to work and I'm having trouble just restarting luna . I have to reboot the whole phone

not sure what's up but I do know package manager isn't properly working . Try shuting phone down then restart and in command line type " cat /proc/cpuinfo " with no quotes and see what the bogomips are?

yes PMS has some kind of issue on my phone right now as well . When I hit luna restart in luna manager it tells me that PMS isn't running so ..... You tell me ha ha ??

yeah, I read a bit of the new sdk stuff. It talks about java service time outs after 10 seconds, I wonder if this affects the manager at all?? Prolly not.... but i know that this update was a mess for me and most of it was my fault Gives me something to do I guess...

Ok, weird question... If the phones have problems with heat, is there any chance that the Seidio 2600mAh battery and (more importantly) its larger back panel, would help? The battery is roughly in the middle of the device, of course, and there would be large air spaces below and above the battery. For that matter, that back with a smaller battery might be even better. Or that battery with a water circulating pump and fan for water-cooling the CPU! Ahem... anyway, it seems like the larger back might help a bit with heat dissipation.

    ie creating a backup.

    just do a:

    mount -o remount,rw /
    cd /usr/bin
    mv LunaSysMgr.orig LunaSysMgr
I attempted to remove the 600mhz overclock like this but was not succesful, it tells me

"mv: cannot rename 'LunaSysMgr.orig' : No such file or directory".

can anyone help me figure out how to set it back to stock 500mhz?

To set it at 600mhz, I followed this:
    cd /usr/bin
    sed "s/500000/600000/g" LunaSysMgr > newlunasysmgr
    mv LunaSysMgr LunaSysMgr.orig
    mv newlunasysmgr LunaSysMgr
    chmod +x LunaSysMgr
    sync
    mount -o remount,ro /
    pkill LunaSysMgr
