now the pre has video capture functionality, would it be possible to use it s a webcam either as wired or wireless. I was only wondering because i know you can do it previously with another palm device if i'm right?

that would be the coolest thing in the world. And technically, since flash is what hosts them online, and we r getting flash, it could be possible?

It'd be awesome if we were able to get a Ustream app like the iPhone has. Curious to know if Flash can accomplish this.

this is one of the old ways you could do it with a palm device, so it is possible just wondering if we could figure a way to do it by following methods they used with older devices.

I emailed the ustream team about a webOS app app this was their response-

    "Hi,

We appreciate you taking the time to write us regarding our mobile apps and
features. Although we currently do not have an app for WebOs, we are always
updating our apps and will forward your suggestion to our development team.
    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Ustream Support"

It's not possible. Palm hasn't made APIs available to developers that would even allow such a thing yet.

They will, though, this summer. It's been officially announced.

In other words, Palm will have 3000+ Apps at the time they release fully-fledged APIs, one year after initial release.

At the same time after releasing the iPhone, Apple was only starting to release the first third-party apps via their app catalog.
