Customer Support for Foreign Palm Pres

I am in the UK and am pondering on getting a Pre. If I were to buy an unlocked Palm Pre from abroad (e.g. Germany of Spain), would I receive any customer support in the UK if anything goes wrong? Or would I have to contact support in its country of origin?

You'd be dependent on the contract between yourself and the vendor, though Palm support would still be available.

That's why I ended paid a premium to get an unlocked QWERTZ handset from Expansys - to make sure that the Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling regulations would apply if anything went wrong. Think of the added expense as an insurance policy and it doesn't seem so bad.
