There is a service with Sprint to locate your phone for $5, I have it so I can locate my phone and my wife's at any time

You can log into your profile on Palm's site and erase the phone remotely. This erases everything, including the contents on the USB drive.

At the same time, of course, as already noted, the carrier can simply lock the phone off of the network.

And with that, I think I've hit 2,000 posts. Go me.
