    Hello, all.

I have seen a few posts regarding a "phantom" application at the top of your application list that prevents both downloads and updates. It has been suggested that if you use the terminal application through pre-ware, you can reset your application list and therefore re-enable downloads.

What if we do not have Pre-ware installed or the terminal application? Is there any other way to get rid of this phantom application? It is extremely frustrating that I can not download any applications while this is there.

Can I simply do a full restore? Or will that add back the phantom application? Any other suggestions?

    Thanhks much.

Here's a list of all the threads I found:

    Solution:

From a terminal window, type the following commands:

    cd /var
    cd palm
    cd data
    cd com.palm.appInstallService
    rm installHistory.db
press orange + SYM + R to reboot

Don't use the Update All button. Just scroll through your list of apps and update them each individually. It's a bit of a pain, but it should work.
