You're behind the curve if you're not a homebrew freak by now. Luckily, this guide doesn't take but a few minutes to get you up and running like the rest of the cool kids here.

Honestly, how could you own a webOS phone and not use Preware??
    I don't get it.

P.S. - Forgive me if the poll choices aren't the greatest.

Well there's a good chance Palm employees are banned from using it.
But who knows, I could be wrong.

The way the world works, I wouldn't be surprised if some were allowed to "research" such things.

Without your own pc, preware and homebrew are very risky,as you are screwed if and when things go bonkers. Having to use someones pc to doctor your phone is not that fun.(at least to me) that's all that's stopping me.

I only started doing Preware and patches because of AUPT. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered. I do thoroughly enjoy my patches and the few homebrew apps I've got, though. And some are just huge necessities for me, like My Flashlight and force roam. Could've and would've lived without them but couldn't possibly go back now that I have them!

Couldn't imagine life on my Pre without Preware and WQI

It may seem odd to us here, but people that use homebrew are a very small minority of Pre/Pixi owners. Most people that own a Pre/Pixi don't even know this site exists, much less what Preware, WebOS Quick Install, and homebrew apps are.

I was talking to a sale person at best buy who owed a pre and he asked me how I like it. So I showed him my phone his first words to me were how did you get some many icons on the screen. We now have another Preware user LOL

I hit the wrong button, kinda confusing, I have been using Preware since around Oct. 09. Even though I got my Pre launch day, I held off untill webOSQI, when precentral. net posted the "how to" on the front page. I was amazed how ez it was to install/use and just want to encourage people that have not tried it yet to jump in and if you like it, please donate to the developers, they have done an amazing job.
