I deleted some pics on my phone accidentally, so I used a program to see if I could recover them. It showed me ALL of the pics I've ever deleted, as well as pics that I never knew existed—like professionally taken, hi-resolution contact pics for people I don't know. And other pics too, like a guy eating a hot dog, and a dog sitting by a pool. Very, very weird.

Yes, I'm the original owner of the phone, and I got it brand new—direct from Palm, and it's not refurbished. I put some of the pics below, and you can go here to see them all. Anyone else have odd hidden pics of their Pre? I'm on a Mac, and used a program called Klix, but I'm sure there are other picture-recovery type programs for Windows as well. It's just so weird!

This could be interesting...I just installed a free photo recovery program and it's running right now. So far it has found over 1000 pics.

What software are you guys using? I just recently lost some pics due to an HDD crash.. this sounds promising. I'll scan my phone to see if I have any of those weird pics, as well.

I wonder if you'll have some of the same ones?! Can't wait to see.

For the people who've been wondering which program to use, I can't help you on a PC, but on a Mac, I used KlixI found it at joesoft.com. And yeah, it's weird, hilarious, and oddly disturbing all at the same time.

My scan just finished and guess what?

ALL THOSE SAME PICS ARE ON MINE TOO.

Must be some random pics Palm used for testing or something. That's about the best I can come up with.

Most of the 1000 pics it found were weather screens from the Weatherman app.

    Here's the program I used:
