Hi all, I'm about to get the Verizon Pre Plus, and I've been studying up on all these great threads of tips, tricks, guides, and issues.

My concern is that I read something that's no longer applicable to the Plus version of the Pre, or might try something that's not compatible (for example steps to back up data, or install homebrew apps)

Now, ideally, there would already be a thread that documents this. Maybe a list of the differences, fixes, and changes between the Pre and Pre+, what tips still works and (more importantly) what WON'T work on the Pre+.

We can use this thread as a start. Unfortunately as I don't have the Pre+ yet, I can't contribute anything, but I'm hoping people who recently got the Pre+ can chime in.

Did you discover anything (from existing threads) that don't apply to the Pre+? Or any cautionary tales? Is there any big issues I should be aware of based solely on the fact that I'm on Verizon's network and not Sprint?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm aware a fully functional Pre Plus should be completely backwards compatible with all software and patches that the Pre (and Pixi) can run.

I really don't think you'll run into any compatibility issues if you decide to go for the Pre Plus - assuming you receive a device in good working order.

I don't think you will see as big a difference as we did with say the iPhone 3G and the 3GS.
The only real applicable difference is the increased ram. As we've seen this leads to a benefit in multitasking performance. I don't think we will see Pre Plus specific games or apps anytime soon.
