Is there a preferable EVDO setting? Currently my pre is set to Hybrid Rev A
The other choices are EVDO only, Hybrid Rev 0, EVDO Rev 0 only and 1xRTT only.
Are any of these other settings better? Thoughts?

Rev A is the fastest, but if you get out into some rural areas they might only have Rev 0 support. 1xRTT is the CDMA version of 2G.

Leave it on the default setting, since it works just fine.

Call notifications come in on 1xRTT. If you leave it on either Hybrid mode, you can use EVDO and get notified of incoming calls. If you switch to either EVDO only modes, you will no longer get notified of incoming calls. You can still make outgoing calls, but you won't get incoming calls at all. They will all go to voicemail. You probably don't want that. Although I don't know how frequently your significant other calls. Maybe you do.

    So in summary:
    1xRTT: slow data, incoming calls
EVDO Rev 0 only: fast data, no incoming calls
Hybrid Rev 0: fast data, incoming calls
EVDO only: fastest data, no incoming calls
Hybrid Rev A: fastest data, incoming calls

Thanks wunderbar and mu7efcer! Good info I was just curious after seeing the choices and not knowing what they meant. So I guess I'll be leaving it in the default setting. lol
