Following some threads here, I saw that one might want to update the PRL from 60657 to 60658. Mine is already at 60659. Is that A Good Thing, or is that A Bad Thing? If bad, how do I reset it back to 60658?

    Thanks,
    JimR

60659 is the latest PRL. It's not a bad thing. It's always going to get updated whenever the carrier updates/changes their roaming agreements.

    what's prl?

PRL = Preferred roaming list is a list of locations your phone searches for to get the best signal. It's good to keep it updated so that it won't struggle to find the best signal in new locations that have new towers etc. The more it works to find the best signal - the more your battery is used. Hence - keep it updated and your battery will last a lot longer

Open the phone app and hit the sprint in the top left to pull down the menu. chose preferences.

Scroll down and at the bottom you should see "Update PRL"

The other day, my Pre just updated the PRL all on it's own. Had a screen pop up saying "Updating PRL" and had a cancel button. Took about 2 min. Anyone else have this happen to them?
