I've never heard that number. If you have some proof to back it up then I will stand corrected.

Are they ashamed of something? Why don't they just specifically state exactly how many Pre sales there have been? Saying something like "a vast majority" is ambiguous really.

Going by all these pontifications i don't think they've hit near 1 million.

Trust me when I tell you that Verizon is not "playing good with Apple." A few of Verizon's top media folks have been taking some very aggressive stances against the iPad and iPhone through their Twitter accounts, to the extent that I would say they seem almost scorned. It's actually very bizarre, burning bridges and all. Makes me think Verizon suddenly feels like they may never be getting the iPhone? Maybe Apple's "breakthrough" with AT&T required renewing exclusivity? I guess we'll see...

In any event, someone from the official Verizon Twitter account recently said:

"You will see loads of Palm stuff on TV, print soon..."
Twitter / Verizon Wireless USA: @vara411 @RanGT Good obse ...

    Stay tuned?
