I installed a bunch of patches, doctored my phone, and tried to install the same patches again. They appear as "installed" already in Preware.

They do not show up in WebOS Quick Install. Running EPR results in "no patches found". If I install a patch, then run EPR, just the new patch is removed.

Is there a way I can manually remove the patches from the installed list?

honestly im gonna have to say time to visit the doctor

The only way I was able to fix the same issue was with a partial reset. Some have had to do a full reset (which also clears the USB side files, patches, logs, etc) but the partial worked for me.

Doing a WebDr will more than likely not fix the problem. The Webdr leaves apps (both working and corrupted apps) on your Pre.

Doctoring will leave my phone basically the way it is. The patches still appear as "installed"

Hmm, I guess I will try the partial reset after uninstalling/reinstalling Preware.

    EDIT:
    Nope, reinstalling Preware doesn't work.

I always do a Full Reset then Doctor the phone when patches get stuck. Might be an overkill, but this way it skips all this troubleshooting

Yeah, I usually just doctor so I can keep all of my apps and settings.

the way it worked for me was removing the patches through webos quick install after doctoring my phone..but if you doctor it with webosdoctor 1.3.1 it will wipe out your phone completely...1.3.5.1 only does the software and leave music, pics, videos there.

There is a hard command line to try.

    ipkg -o /media/cryptofs/apps remove org.webosinternals.patches*

    Removes the whole directory.

I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure out how to get Preware working again. Installing failed, reinstalling failed, deleting failed, patching failed, emergency blah blah failed but your suggestion worked like a charm. Thanks!

If the patches that were installed had AUPT then you can remove them from preware without issue. IF they were installed prior to AUPT release, then either command line or partial erase as mentioned above.

They won't uninstall because they aren't actually installed. I get an IPKG Log error.

    This was right before AUPT.

    EDIT:
Command worked perfectly. Thanks for saving me a few hours
