Don't know if anyone else would find this useful, or if there is another current free way to do it?

If you go to this page and put in a UK postcode it will display a map centred on the postcode. It works without Flash

    FixMyStreet

It's a website for reporting potholes etc.

Google Maps is no good, as it does not accept the full UK postcode.

Any other ways to do it ?
    Thought of the day :
No sense being pessimistic, it probably wouldn't work anyway

Google maps works fine with a full postcode for me.

Is that the installed Google map app on the Pre, or the Google website.

Maps installed on my Pre, entering the postcode on the Pre.

Damnit! It goes to the last digit and doesn't use the final two letters. Looks like I wasn't paying attention last time I used it.

However, given the granularity of postcodes, that's pretty close for most purposes.

I wish we had the ability to get directions from a point on the map rather than having to know the (partial) postcode or location name, a simple directions to "touch place on map" would be good

Unless you have fingers like mine - I'd be lucky to hit the right continent!
