Games stopped working all of a sudden

My GPU Accelerated games stopped working all of a sudden. I cant launch Need For Speed Undercover, Doom!, Quake, VBA, SuperTux, TetiCrisis, and Classic Invaders. After I updated to the new version of VBA 1.1.0 the games stopped launching.

When I press on the icons/launchers they wont lauch, nothing happens. I Removed VBA, i tried rebooting, i tried everything and still no luck, did my GPU burn out??

i doubt that the gpu is gone but you may have to doctor your phone to fix it . or even a soft reset might do it . if not a hard reset is the last thing to try.

its weird that i should have to doctor my phone though. It happened after updating my VBA. I dont wanna lose my music, ect. and have to reLINK all my contacts (Facebook, Palm Profile, Yahoo, Google, ect)

well you could wait for webos repair utility after 1.4 comes out . and you have to remember vba is still a work in progress and a beta app thats homebrew . and if you read the warnings before adding preware and knew of the possible outcome of trying homebrew apps and patches , well then you knew this could happen . but before you get upset at least try the soft reset i dont believe it messes with your contacts .

doctoring your phone wont delete your info on your phone as far as the usb partition is concerned but contacts are a diff. story .

do you use mytether? I, and others, had the same problem & a patch for mytether fixed it.

yes i had mytether and i removed that camera patch and removed mytether itself but still hasnt fixed it, Need for speed doesnt work either

altering the patch from myTether causes this problem, I had this same problem with Tetris. Here is the solution i used from user "instalectual" Worked like a charm for me.

Here is the solution that has worked for some, myself included...

-Download the following .rar file: asabutton.com/PalmPre/MyTetherPatch/mytether.rar
-Enable wifi patch in MyTether and restart when prompted.
-Connect phone in usb drive mode.
-Navigate to your pre drive. Locate the .mytether folder and replace it with the .mytether folder in the downloaded .rar file.
-Disable wifi patch in MyTether and restart when prompted.

That should be all there is to it. Just a note, I haven't tried to use MyTether after applying this fix...
