    My speaker just blew but it still plays although at a little lower volume and it's a little distorted.

    Everything else on this phone seems to work fine and from the stories I've heard about other things being wrong with Pre's, do I even think about returning it?

    It's 5 months old so the 30 days is gone. If I return it under the 1 year warranty is my only option going to be a refurbished one or can I get a new one?

    Go with the warranty replacement. It will be a refurb.

    no way youll get a new one but yes it will be a refurb which isnt necessarily a bad thing refurbs are generally double and triple checked for any issues

    Get it checked out, If you get a referb a new 30 days starts...

    So, if there is any other problem you can take it back with no problems.

    I just sent mine out on Friday to be replaced. Mine had the following issues:

    -Cracked case
    -Headphones cutting in and out
    -2 dead pixels
    -USB port not responding

    Spent over two hours @ Best Buy trying to get a new phone. Now I have to wait a week until my "New" one comes in. BTW...I have insurance through BB. I'm going through withdrawals w/o my phone.

    This is exactly why I am questioning returning my phone. I can't be without a phone for long and I know the next one I get will have something even worse wrong with it making it even more time without a phone.

    Best Buy does offer you a loner phone (dumb phone). I told them that I'd rather go w/o. I've had a smart phone for so long that a regular phone would drive me nuts. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much the loner phone costs if anything. Srry!

    huh.... My Sprintstore in South Jersey either hands you a referb in store, or drop ships to your house next day.
