    yeah and it sucked.

    top end dumbphones were 300 at times not too long ago. i checked Verizon's site and their most expensive one on contract is 99 dollars.

    No idea. Verizon can afford to market the Pre as low as 99 if they wanted. Just depends on how they want to spin it.
